Beats on the Lake Charity Event - 2024
Sat Jun 22 2:00 PM - Sun Jun 23 2:00 AM
STARTS: ENDS:
Friends! Thank you all for coming to Beats on the Lake this year! Last year was truly something special and we're excited to do it again this year! I can't think of a cooler lineup and we have some extra special
Beats on the Lake is a charity event aimed at raising money for GiGi's playhouse - a charity organization that helps children with Down Syndrome. Our hosts and partners for this event are Amy Jeffries and Damon Rose. Amy's son Jake has DS and their passion for helping other families is clear - they graciously allow us to throw this large event on their private property each year. They are wonderful humans and they LOVE dance music. :)
Here is a Sponsorship Event Guide which speaks to the cause and purpose of BOTL as well as pricing for anyone that's interested in sponsoring the event.
Details:
The event is June 22nd.
Time is 2PM-2AM for the main event and 1PM-3PM will be an open house at the New Lake House Damon just built. Anyone is welcome to that.
This event is at a private residence on lake Lanier.
Parking at the house is extremely limited so we ask you to park down at Hall and Hound - 1920 Freedom Pkwy, Cumming, GA 30041- where attendees park - we have shuttles bringing people to and from the event all day/evening. There will be drinks and food available for those that are waiting on the shuttle at the restaurant.
NO ONE MAY DRIVE HOME IF YOU ARE DRUNK OR MESSED UP. We’re very very serious about this so if you are going to party - please plan on ubering or staying in a local hotel/VRBO or just hanging out till you are good to go. :)
This year there will be three main environments for revelers to hang out and listen to you all play:
1. The Dock - Right on Lake Lanier. DJ's will either be playing on the dock or on a raised pontoon boat right next to it. Many lake enthusiasts and boat owners tie their boats up and listen to music as well. The dock can comfortably hold about 50 people and we extend that by adding tenting and astroturf to the area next to the dock. We are also looking into a radio transmitter so boats can broadcast what we’re playing to the boats. Music plays from 2PM - 11PM at the dock. We have to shut down at 11PM at the dock so as not to disturb neighbors.
2. The driveway/Rock the Disco Sound System experience featuring the RTDSS airstream/mobile DJ rig. This area will only have music from 5PM-11PM - keeping most people down at the dock or inside in VIP. We’ll start with live music from teh cover band at 5PM then DJ’s till 11:30ish. After that we’ll start the silent disco outside so as not to disturb the neighbors.
3. Inside the house/VIP. This setup will be outside on the back deck overlooking the woods, hot tub, adjacent to the inside/living room and where many people gather until 11ish when we will more than likely move the rig inside. We are clearing out the living room so there is room to dance, mingle and hang. Last year most folks ended up inside from 11-early hours. This year we are shutting things down at 2AM.
4. Open House. Damon has built a second lake house down the street which we want to invite people to go to visit. We’ll have a pre-event from 1-3PM there, there will be a DJ and free drinks for anyone that wants to go. We’ll also have golf carts carting people down there throughout the day to check it out.
In addition to these main areas we have food trucks, an artist gallery, an area for our sponsors to set up, picnic tables for people to eat, drink and hang and we're looking into a mobile Bar or Keg station.
TICKETS
There are VIP tickets which grants access to the inside of the house and free food, beverages and the party deck. General Admission grants access to the dock, the house grounds and the second house but not inside the VIP area. Please note this is a charity event and most of the proceeds will go to GiGI's playhouse.
Here is the Facebook Event page: You may invite your friends - it's just not publicly posted. Friends and friends of friends and fans are great to invite! Please invite all your friends!
