THE PERFECT GIFT- Documentary & Exhibit highlights African American transplant recipients, living donors, and deceased donor family members. The project’s mission is to bring awareness and education about organ, eye, and tissue donation in the African American Community. Currently, in Georgia, approximately 5,000 men, women, and children are awaiting lifesaving organ transplants. Sixty three percent of those on the transplant waiting list in Georgia are African American. The vision of the Perfect Gift Documentary & Exhibit is to save more black lives by increasing the number of African American organ donors in Georgia.
